BLACKBURN RUFC MINI & YOUTH SECTION

The Mini & Youth section is an integral element of the Club.

Our aim is to provide opportunities for young people to play rugby irrespective of gender, ability or ethnicity.

Youngsters play in accordance with the RFU continuum, which stipulates the playing conditions for each age group. Children are taken as per their age on 1st September i.e. as per school year. School year 2- under 7’s, year 3 – under 8’s, year 4 – under 9’s etc.

We welcome Parents to all training and competitions and value your support.

We recently attained the RFU Seal of Approval which means that we are now recognised by Sport England as a ‘Clubmark’- safe, effective and child friendly. In a nutshell, the Club is able to demonstrate that it is operating within approved codes, in a safe environment with equal opportunity for all.

Training sessions and matches take place on Sunday morning between 10.30am and 12midday. In addition junior teams who tend to play competitive matches on Sunday mornings also train on midweek evenings. The coach of each team will be able to advise you of the precise times.
